Christmas Eve

4:30 PM Children's Service

The lessons and sermon will be replaced by a Christmas Pageant, our youth choirs will provide music, and there will be a VERY simplified liturgy (similar to a Children's Chapel service), including a simplified Eucharistic prayer.

6:30 PM Early Christmas Eve "Vigil" Service

This will be a "real" Christmas Eve service, though just a bit "plainer" than the "Midnight" service (it will NOT have incense).  This service will begin with 15 minutes of Christmas music at 6:30, with the processional hymn and service proper beginning at 6:45. It will be a full Eucharist with a sermon and traditional carols.

10:30 PM Late Christmas Eve Midnight Service

This is the service with "all the trimmings".  It begins with 15 minutes of Christmas music at 10:30, with the service proper beginning at 10:45 PM. INCENSE WILL BE USED at this service, only.

Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, 2016

10:30 a.m.—Christmas Day "Contemplative" Service.  Since Christmas Day falls on a Sunday this year, we will only have one service (there will be no 8:00 a.m. service).  It will be a quiet, spoken Eucharist--there will be no chanting or sung service music, but we will sing some traditional Christmas carols.

New Year's Day, Sunday, January , 2017

10:30 a.m.—The Feast of the Holy Name. When Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, so does New Year's Day (which in the church calendar is always the Feast of the Holy Name).  Again, will only have one service (there will be no 8:00 a.m. service).  It will be a spoken Communion service--there will be no chanting or sung service music, but we will again sing some traditional Christmas carols.
