MUSIC AT ST. PAUL'S

choirMusic has been an integral part of the Christian Church since its origin. The Church has been a center for great musical experiences throughout the ages, bringing people into the Body of Christ and sending them forth into community. Music reaches the soul and connects with the Spirit in a unique and powerful way.

We believe that God can be glorified through a rich setting of choral and instrumental music as it expresses and interprets faith. Such music raises our collective and corporate vision and elicits our best. The variety of musical styles offered in various churches and denominations is basis for great joy. St. Paul’s is in the relatively rare position of having the resources to offer traditionally approached, classically based repertoire. The parish has unusually rich resources and leadership, and it serves a congregation for whom this literature provides a truly Spirit-filled worship experience.

If you are interested in being a part of our music ministry or would like more information, please contact Organist and Choirmaster Dr. John Hollins.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all the earth;
break forth into joyous song and sing praises.

CHANCEL CHOIR

The Chancel Choir is the principal service choir for our 10:30 a.m. Choral Eucharist on Sunday mornings during the academic year. Open to adults of all ages, from senior high school and up, the Chancel Choir sings anthem literature, choral psalms, and hymn treatments to support and facilitate our corporate worship of God. The choir also musically supports special services during Advent and Holy Week and presents occasional concerts and services of Choral Evensong.

ST. AGNES AND ST. NICHOLAS CHOIR

The St. Agnes and St. Nicholas Choir is our children’s and youth choir at St. Paul’s, singing once a month in our 10:30 a.m. Choral Eucharist services. This program combines musical experiences with Christian education to enable our young people to reach their full potential, offering their musical gifts in the worship of the Creator.
